An exhibition «Movement never lies»

This multimedia exhibition prepared in co-operation with Diana Vishneva Foundation lets the audience behind the scenes re-creating the unique atmosphere: soft lights of make-up room, photos and videos of the famous dancer and her scenic costumes.

 



 

Diana was born in St Petersburg. She started her dance training in 6, in 11 she had entered to Vaganova Academy and graduated in 1995 (class of professor Liudmila Kovaleva). In 1994 Vishneva won her first award, the Golden Medal and Grand Prix of the Young Dancer Contest in Lausanne and it was the only time when a dancer had won both. In 1995 she went to stage in Mariinsky theatre where danced the main parts in “Don Quixote”, “Cinderella” and “The Nutcracker”. From that time Diana enriched her repertoire with creations of all main choreographers such as Petipa, Fokine, Balanchine, Neumaier, Ashton, MacMillan and many others. Later on she danced in the most famous theatres Grand Opera, ABT, Royal Opera House, Metropolitan. Diana is laureate of National Award of State, Benois de la dance, «The Golden Soffite», «The Golden Mask» and many others.
