The exhibition works from Jun 4, 2009 to April 30, 2010.
Now when Shalyapin Museum (his former apartment at Graftio St. where singer lived from 1915 until his departure abroad in 1922) is closed for a restoration its most valuable collection items and details of interior can be seen at Sheremetev Palace.
Details of Shalyapin?s dining room and boudoir, items belonging to his dressing room in Mriinsky theatre, his scenic costumes and self-portrait as Dosifey in «Khovanshchina» by Mussorgsky as well as his famous portraits by B. Kustodiev, A. Yakovlev, N. Kharitonov and paintings by K. Korovin, A. Benoit, B. Grigoriev, V. Vasnetsov, M. Nesterov, V. Shukhaev, I. Brodsky from his home collection transfer a visitor to creative atmosphere of the great singers living place. Visitors also can see at the exhibition an image of Shalyapins second wife sculptured by his hand.
